MISS UNIVERSE 2019

Zozibini Tunzi was crowned on 8th December, 2019 as the Miss Universe , by the outgoing title

holder , Catriona Gray , at Tyler Perry Studios.

Her win brings South Africa its third Miss Universe title and she is the first black woman to be

crowned since Leila Lopes (Miss Universe 2011) of Angola. However, she is the first delegate in 


the history of the competition to be crowned in her natural, Afro-textured hair.

During the final round of the pageant, the top three contestants were asked:

 "What is the most important thing we should teach young girls today?"

To which Tunzi replied:

"I think the most important thing we should be teaching young girls today is leadership

It's  something that has been lacking in young girls and women for a very long time.

Not because we don't want to but because of what society has labelled women to be.

I think we are the  most powerful beings in the world and that we should be given every 

opportunity. And that is what we should be teaching these young girls to take up space. 

Nothing is as important as taking up space in society and cementing yourself .

PERSONAL REVIEW :

Honestly, this was a well-deserved win! Zozibini had all the qualities of a Miss Universe be it her

effortless charm, the "it" factor , her intelligence and the incredible communication skills.

 I literally had goosebumps listening to her final answer, lmao!

Even in the evening gown competition it was only Zozibini's gown that represented her nation


- the brown of  the South African soils and blue of the ocean bordering it.

 She had the courage to break the beauty stereotypes and embrace her individuality (her tanned 


skin and short hair).  Tomorrow a  young African girl, who aspires to conquer the horizons, and


lead a purposeful life , will be able to do so because she can see her reflection in this woman. 







Very few people know that Zozibini Tunzi had entered the Miss South Africa 2017 pageant but 


couldn't make it to the top. She returned again in 2019 keeping everything natural and simple, 


but with a complete transformation in terms of her confidence and preparation. 


Eventually she was crowned as Miss South Africa 2019 on women's day, forging ahead 


towards the glory of winning the Miss Universe title. This is a true example of 


life rewarding hard work , resilience  and  tenacity.

              68th edition of the Miss Universe competition. It will be held on December

      8, 2019 at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia in the United States. Catriona  

           Gray of the Philippines will crown her successor by the end of the event. 

  

  







   




 

Miss Universe is an annual international beauty pageant that is run by the United States-based Miss Universe Organization. The contest is the largest pageant in the world in terms of live TV coverage, airing yearly in more than 190 countries worldwide to an audience of over 2.5 billion people.

This year's Miss Universe pageant will be the most competitive, where countries from all over the world would participate to bag the prestigious title. The pre-arrival favourite countries are Philippines, Brazil, South Africa, Colombia, Thailand, Puerto Rico and India.

10.  INDIA :

Vartika Brij Nath Singh is an Indian model and beauty pageant 

titleholder who was crowned as Miss Universe India 2019 and 

will represent India at the Miss Universe Pagent. She was 

previously crowned as Miss Grand India in 2015. The 

GQ magazine has ranked her among the 

hottest women of India in 2017.The woman is very pretty, soft-

spoken and her helping nature makes her stand out. She is 

well-spoken and has a strong presence. Many people have

 tagged her as the silent , who will surprise everyone with her 

stellar performance in the finals.

9. VIETNAM:

She began her career in 2011, after winning cycle two of Vietnam's Next

 Top Model  Thùy later competed in Miss Universe 2017 , where 

she placed as the first runner-up. Two years later, she was appointed to

represent Vietnam at Miss Universe. She is often considered to be

 one of the most successful Vietnamese models on international runway.

This Vietnamese beauty is often underrated, but she is proving everyone 

wrong with her spectacular performances. Her outfits are the epitome of

 class and elegance. To top that, her fan base seems to grow larger by 

the day.

8.  USA

Cheslie Corrinne Kryst  is an American television presenter and beauty

 pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss USA 2019. As Miss USA, she 

will represent the United States at the Miss Universe competition. 

Previously, she had been crowned Miss North Carolina becoming the third

 woman from North Carolina to win Miss USA. Outsideof pageantry,

 Kryst is a licensed attorney and has served as a correspondent 

for "EXTRA" since October 2019.

This is the contestant, which the public needs to watch out for. This 

beauty with brains exhibits a strong and mature personality. She is kind,

 fun-loving and lively .  We hope that she performs her best on the D-Day. 

7. PUERTO RICO:

Madison Sara Anderson Berríos is a Puerto Rico-American

 model and beauty pageant titleholder who was 

crowned Miss Puerto Rico 2019. She will represent 

Puerto Rico in the Miss Universe competition.

 Her eyes express her hunger to own this title as well. This 

contestant is very competitive and her journey has reflected 

that so far. She has worked day and night to become a 

successful model and now it's time to try her luck in the Miss 

Universe. We hope that she is able to fight against all odds to 

win the crown.

6.  COLOMBIA :

Gabriela Tafur Náder  is a Colombian lawyer, model, and beauty

 pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Colombia 2018.

 She will represent Colombia at Miss Universe 2019.

This woman is indeed well-spoken and displays a contagious

 charisma on screen. She is benevolent, well-mannered and 

very intelligent. She is one of the top favourites for Miss

 
Universe this year. We all hope that she is able to make her

 
country ,Colombia, very proud in the contest.

5. SOUTH AFRICA:

Zozibini Tunzi is a South African beauty pageant titleholder 

who was crowned Miss Souh Africa 2019. She will now 

represent South Africa at the Miss Universe competition.

This raw, authentic, non-conventional African beauty is the one

 to watch out for. She has an immensely strong persona and to 

 the African women look up to her as a figure who is extremely 

confident in her own skin. Her strong communication skills and

 impressive vocabulary sets her apart as a strong well versed 

candidate. It is hoped that she will place among the top 

contestants.

4. CHILE: 

Geraldine González Martínez is a Chilean model and beauty 

pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe

 Chile 2019. She will now represent Chile at the Miss

 Universe competition.

Miss Chile is a spectacular combination of beauty with brains.

 She looks charismatic with her beautiful dark hair and skin 

tone and manifests grace under pressure. Her presentation

 skills have been commendable. We hope that she would 

outshine many fellow contestants.

 3. THAILAND :

Paweensuda Drouin  is a Thai-Canadian model, DJ and beauty 

pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe Thailand. 

She is by far the most experienced and the strongest contender

 for the Miss Universe pageant. She has participated in many 

pageants and her in-depth knowledge about beauty contests 

will help her in winning the Miss Universe crown . Be it her 

beautiful smile, confidence, intelligence , eternal beauty , she

 has it all, what a Miss Universe should represent. We hope 

that she will be our next Miss Universe 2019.

2. BRAZIL

Júlia do Vale Horta is a Brazilian model and a beauty pageant 

titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe Brazil, 2019.

She will represent Brazil at the Miss Universe pageant.

This woman is divine!  She defines perfection! She has stood 

out from the beginning of the competition. She radiates 

confidence and her strong willed personality immediately 

draws eyes. Her relatable natural beauty, interpersonal skills

 and an intelligent array of words make her one of the most 

consistent performers. We hope that she will leave no stone 

unturned in her attempt to win the crown.

1. PHILIPPINES:

Gazini Ganados is a Filipino fashion model who was crowned Miss Universe Philippines.

 Known for her work in advocating for elderly care and HIV-

AIDS research, she will represent the Philippines at the 

Miss Universe.

Gazini is a true beauty queen! Everything about her, be it the 

soft and captivating charm, humility, elegance, strong 

communication skills and wisdom places her on the top in this

 compiled list .She has won a gazillion hearts and no wonder if 

gets crowned as  the Miss Universe, 2019. We hope that she is 

able to make the hundred-and-four million Fillipinos proud of
